The term mystērion appears seven times in all the works of Josephus Flavius: twice in the book of Bellum Judaicum (B 1,470; 2,133), three times in the Antiquitates Judaicae (Ant 19,30; 19,71; 19,104) and twice in the work called Contra Apionem (Ap 1,189; 2,266). It occurs twice in singular (and only in B) and five times in plural (3x Ant, 2x Ap).
